First Prize to Sydney’s Laneway Revitalisation

ASPECT Studios with the City of Sydney were winners at the 2013 Sydney Design Awards in the Urban Design category last night. .

The Sydney Laneways – a transformation of five inner-city laneways of Ash Street, Angel Place, Little Hay Street, Factory Street and Kimber Lane, continue to be recognised by industry peers and the public for its improved paving, new furniture, lighting features and successful integration of stunning artworks into public spaces.


Following the success of sweeping the awards in 3 categories, the City of Sydney has been also awarded the ‘Best Design Champion’ for their continued commitment in supporting design excellence. We congratulate the City of Sydney for the success and commitment to excellence in the public domain.r


The Sydney Design Awards represent the diversity and culture of the Sydney design industry.
