Director Kirsten Bauer was invited with Adrian Marshall, as guest editor and writer in the latest issue of Landscape Architecture Australia. The running theme of this special edition – ‘Creating Communities’ - looks into Australia’s urban growth and masterplanned communities.
Kirsten as guest editor writes the framing essay and curated the authors and projects for the edition. With the help of ASPECT’s graphic designer Cassie Peel created the ‘Masterplanned Utopia’ illustrative diagram which visually tells the story of the ‘typical public realm elements of the masterplanned community’.
ASPECT Studios Urbanism’s Director Helen Day also authored the article on ‘Aurora’ – a 613 hectare masterplanned housing area in Melbourne gives an insight into the public life around Aurora.
