NSW Creative Achievement Awards
At ASPECT Studios, we have huge respect for the individuals and organisations that contribute to NSW’s vibrant creative scene, so we were honoured to be named one of the four “NSW Creative Laureate” finalists at this year’s NSW Creative Achievement Awards, a central part of Vivid Sydney.   The finalists were announced by the Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy, Anthony Roberts. He explained that the award recognises those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and made a significant contribution to positively enhance the global profile of NSW’s creative industries. As the only representative in our design field to be selected as a finalist, we were overwhelmed to be recognised for our contribution toward a global, connected and vibrant city.   Our entire design process aims to express the essential qualities of place, landscape, history, culture and important social rituals. Our multi-award winning projects, such as One Central Park, The Goods Line, UTS Alumni Green and Darling Quarter, are just some of the work that we are particularly proud of and they were among the key reasons for our inclusion among this year’s finalists.   We were in truly outstanding company on the night. The other finalists included renowned graphic designer Vince Frost, who runs internationally focused creative ideas business, Frost* Collective. Sydney’s contemporary art and cultural institution Carriageworks was also a finalist. Last year alone, Carriageworks presented more than 45 projects and employed over 800 artists across visual arts, music, dance, performance, screen and literature. Elizabeth Ann Macgregor OBE, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, was another finalist. Her passion for connecting artists with audiences has led to innovative programs in Western Sydney and right across the state.   The winners were announced at a gala event during Vivid Sydney. The accolade went to Carriageworks and Elizabeth Ann Macgregor OBE for their outstanding leadership and contribution.   To be included among such luminaries of NSW’s creative industries was an absolute honour and we congratulate the worthy award winners.   Return to News     NSW Creative Achivements_ASPECT Studios submission image
