ASPECT Studios Welcomes New Shareholders

ASPECT Studios are proud to announce the addition of five new and increased equity shareholders: Ivan Ross (CEO), Stephen Buckle, (Shanghai Studio Director), Tim Conybeare (Adelaide Studio Director), Ian Rooney (Wayfinding Director), Warwick Savvas (Living Architecture Sector Leader).

Ian Rooney – Wayfinding Director

Ian’s focus as a designer and Studio Leader is increasingly on user experience, behaviour change and active travel strategies. It is the confluence of place design, human behaviour initiatives, wayfinding and the creative outcomes that shape the places we inhabit. Ian’s work as a designer is an extension of what ASPECT does well, design places for people that are enriching, connected and meaningful.

Ivan Ross – Executive

(MBA, Wharton; CA; BCom Melb)

As CEO, Ivan has 20 years of experience leading major international design and technology firms, developing their strategies and building the structure, culture and operating platforms to deliver them. He brings exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills honed at a top-tier strategy consulting firm.

Stephen Buckle – Studio Director

(PGDip(LscapeArch), UCE; BA(LscapeArch), MMU)

As Studio Director of our two China studios, Stephen’s design-thinking has orientated towards the complex social, environmental and technical challenges faced in achieving balanced humanistic and natural systems in some of world’s most densely urbanised cities. As a creative lead within ASPECT Studios his influence has helped to guide and forge the strategic direction and reputation of the practice in Asia.

Tim Conybeare – Studio Director

(RLA, AILA; GradDipLscapeArch, QUT; BArts(FinArt), USYD)

Tim has worked for over 20 years in the field of urban design and landscape architecture and has a focus on the planning and design of the public realm. He is a creative designer and experienced collaborator who regularly draws upon the skills and expertise of allied professionals, artists and social planners to create memorable and enduring places.

Warwick Savvas – Living Architecture Sector Leader

(MLA, B.Bldg Sci)

As technical lead of ASPECT Studios’ green infrastructure and living architecture practice, he combines landscape architecture, his building science background, with his interest in sustainability and ecology.
