One of the largest city greenlands adjacent to the World 2010 Expo site, Shanghai Nanyuan Waterfront Park is positioned as an international exhibition and sightseeing park. The new park responds to the World Expo theme of “Better City, Better Life” by adopting new technologies, and reusing historical elements to seamlessly integrate and to bring new life to the old park. Nanyuan Waterfront Park makes a significant contribution to the environment through its ESD design, large lake and water system capturing and treating urban stormwater runoff.
