Taking guidance from early learning strategies, the playspace provides two discreet play areas for babies and toddlers and another for older children. A trike track meanders through a grove of bamboo and palms, while varied path textures are designed to challenge and provide interest at all levels of play ability. A focal point of the playspace is a large custom designed 5 metre timber teepee which provides unique feature for the centre.

This project, initiated by the relocation of the University of South Australia’s City West campus child care centre, focussed on the need to provide a quiet and immersive play area within a new site located in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD.
