Projects with purpose and impact

Do you want to deliver great outcomes for your clients, enhance the life of users, strengthen community, and protect the environment? So do we. ASPECT is a values-driven organisation, and we hire values-driven individuals. Those who join us will be passionate about delivering innovative work in line with our collective purpose.

Purchased leave initiative

There are a lot of special moments in life, and ASPECT doesn’t want you to miss out on any of them. By purchasing up to an additional two (2) weeks of leave per year, eligible staff are able to take the time they need to be with family and loved ones, to study, see the world, or simply to rest and recoup.

Generous paid parental leave

As an inclusive, family-friendly workplace, we are passionate about supporting new parents to balance family and work commitments. Our Paid Parental Leave benefits include up to ten (10) weeks at full pay regardless of primary- or secondary-carer status, and a year of superannuation continuance. Our Policy is flexible, gender neutral, and purposefully designed to break down the gender-pay gap while supporting smooth transitions back into the workforce.

MAPS days

To foster curiosity and bring challenge and delight to our staff, ASPECT offers four (4) paid MAPS days per year to learn and experience something new - you to choose how you spend them. Want to learn more about sustainable design, take an indigenous language course, visit a public arts project, build a community garden, or explore ideas on design technology innovation? It’s an opportunity to take a break from the day-to-day, tap into your passion and build transferrable skills that you’ll later share with your colleagues.

Professional membership support

As lifelong learners, we encourage all staff to join their relevant industry body or institute and make the most of opportunities to access industry professional development, recognition, and a community of likeminded experts. Whether you’re a practicing designer or in a support service role, ASPECT will reimburse the annual fee of your professional membership as soon as you pass probation.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

At ASPECT we take care of each other – but sometimes we need a little expert help. Instant access to our EAP provides high quality, professional counselling services for ASPECT employees to use confidentially, voluntarily and completely free of charge. Qualified counsellors can assist in finding initial solutions or strategies to deal with personal or work-related issues, with a focus on services which encourage wellbeing, engagement and empowerment in the workplace.

Flexible work options

We know life doesn’t hit pause when you get to work. ASPECT welcomes flexibility in the workplace, whether it’s shifting your hours for school pick-ups, working from home or interstate, or balancing caring commitments with a part time role. If you need flexibility to be able to thrive at work and at home, then we want to hear about it.

Studio culture

We're proud of the studio culture that’s embraced by our teams wherever they are. ASPECT is a community that values openness, genuine interaction, and rigorous, purposeful work. Our studio environments are beautifully designed to inspire productivity, collaboration and connection. When we’re not deep in 'work mode’ you’ll find us sharing ideas, tending to our indoor greenhouse, coming together for pin-ups, or gathering for morning tea and coffee or team events.

International opportunities

With studios in Australia, China, Vietnam and the Middle East, working with ASPECT means gaining exposure to international projects, regional travel, new cultures, and schools of thought and design. With our diverse global portfolio of projects, you could have the opportunity to explore your areas of expertise and gain new ones in an international context.
