Hart’s Mill Reborn: Historic Port Adelaide site transformed into vibrant waterfront hub

Port Adelaide's historic Hart's Mill played a significant role in the development of South Australia's grain industry. An ASPECT Studios-led design team reimagined it's surrounds as a civic and cultural destination that honours the site’s industrial heritage.

The design celebrates the disused flour mill and rail lines, integrating them into a landscape that supports community events, play, and everyday use. Careful environmental remediation, heritage interpretation and new public amenities have turned a forgotten precinct into a connected and welcoming waterfront.
