The new Sydney Fish Market is nearing completion.
Designed by 3XN/GXN, BVN Architecture and ASPECT Studios, with Multiplex for Infrastructure NSW , the project marks a major step in reshaping Sydney’s waterfront.
On Thursday 9 October, ASPECT Studios joined dignitaries including NSW Premier Chris Minns, Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully, and Minister for Lands and Property Steve Kamper for a site tour celebrating the project’s progress.
The visit highlighted the completion of the market’s distinctive timber and aluminum roof and the emerging public spaces that will soon welcome visitors.
Supported by a $750 million NSW Government investment, the new market will deliver more than 6,000 square metres of public space, improved harbour access and a world-class home for Sydney’s seafood industry, creating a new civic landmark that connects people to Pyrmont’s working waterfront.
