Central Park – City Walk
Central to the overall City Walk development, Central Park is a green oasis that draws in the community from far and wide. Visitors experience the park through a variety of walking trails and pathways, which invite them to explore garden rooms and participate in nature-based activities.
Substantial sections of the park can be reconfigured to cater for events, allowing for scale of life and activity that benefits the broader development. Directly aligned to the Burj Khalifa, the park adorns direct axial views to the tower, extracting these corridors into the public realm as central activity spines.

Green spaces are essential to the Dubai community for recreation and community gatherings. The park provides an “oasis” experience to enable and develop this, through the planting of rich foliage which lowers the ambient temperature, providing respite from the summer heat.
The design is informed by a studied understanding of how green spaces in Dubai function differently in the daytime and at night. Given the temperature fluctuations, night hours provoke a different level of social interaction and attract a different group of visitors. By day, the comfort of an air-conditioned home, office or shopping precinct is appealing. At night, however, the outdoors really come alive. To capitalise on this, Central Park features an integrated lighting scheme which transforms the park into a nightscape of adventure and intrigue.
