Awards season is in full swing for the Australian landscape architecture community, with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) Victorian Landscape Awards held last night. ASPECT was fortunate enough to collect three honours.

University of Melbourne Student Precinct won a Landscape Architecture Award in the Civic category. The project was a true collaborative effort with GLAS Landscape Architects, Lyons, Koning Eizenberg Architecture, Inc., NMBW Architecture Studio, Greenaway+Greenshoot and Architects EAT. The jury commended the project for its "successful reconnection” of the university to the urban fabric of the city.

The Greenline master plan, with City of Melbourne and Taylor Cullity Lethlean, won an Award of Excellence in Urban Design. The jury recognized the project's potential for “transformative outcomes for the community and the environment."
