Dandenong Park Interpretive Elements

ASPECT Studios was engaged by the City of Greater Dandenong for the design development of the heritage interpretation elements of the North Area Precinct of Dandenong Park. This precinct is the linking element between Central Dandenong, the Parklands and Dandenong Creek.
  • TRADITIONAL OWNERS & ONGOING CUSTODIANS OF THE LAND Wurundjeri, Bunurong and Boon Wurrung
  • CLIENT City of Greater Dandenong
  • LOCATION Dandenong, Victoria, Australia
  • YEAR 2019 - 2020
Working closely with the architects, our wayfinding and interpretation team created a strategy to integrate historical elements into the space using signage and existing features on site.
Re-using salvaged artifacts from the Bowl Club and Kindergarten create interpretive moments highlighting and honouring past activities, facilities, and social practices in the park. Currently nearing completion, the Dandenong park will be tailored to attract more visitors and promote a sense of history to the park.
