Devonport Waterfront Park
This waterfront park in Devonport is the centerpiece of the second stage of Devonport’s Living Cities master plan, the largest urban renewal project undertaken in regional Tasmania. ASPECT Studios oversaw its development in collaboration with Lyons Architecture.
The design draws on the broader landscape of Northeast Tasmania, in particular its unique geology and flora. Visitors will experience an abstraction of the journey from Cradle Mountain to the Bass Strait.
The new park improves the connection between central Devonport and the Mersey River. It provides activity and event spaces for the community, with a nature-based play space, a sculpture park, amphitheater, events lawn, and waterfront promenade among the new additions.
