And Kangaroo Point Bridge in Brisbane (Architecture and design by Blight Rayner Architecture with Dissing+Weitling; concept and reference design by Brisbane City Council with Arup and Cox Architecture) has been shortlisted in the Urban Design category.
ASPECT helped to create the series of new plazas that anchor the bridge, revitalise existing public spaces and celebrate the history of Traditional Owners. This follows a clean sweep of honours for the new bridge, including Queensland’s highest honours in landscape architecture, urban design and architecture.
Geelong Laneways: Malop Arcade by NMBW Architecture Studio with ASPECT Studios is shortlisted in the Small Projects category. Part of a long-term project to bring Geelong’s laneways to life, Malop Arcade has been remade as a verdant part of the Geelong street network.
We'd also like to highlight the achievements of our collaborators elsewhere in the program: Archer Office have been shortlisted in both the Interior and Sustainable Architecture categories for the Boot Factory; Wardle have been shortlisted for Interior Architecture for The Shed, University of Tasmania; and Sydney Metro have been shortlisted for Urban Design for Sydney Metro City Stations. ASPECT Studios contributed to the design of Waterloo, Martin Place and Victoria Cross stations.
Congratulations to all our collaborators on these significant achievements
