Inspired by the surrounding institutions of learning, the design encourages exploration of Bankstown’s cultural and natural heritage, from First Nations stories to migration and contemporary life. The play space engages the senses and introduces children to the local Cumberland Plains woodland and Turpentine-Ironbark forests through interactive, nature-based elements.

Designed with the NSW Department of Planning’s 'Everyone Can Play' principles in mind, the play space offers opportunities for intergenerational play, welcoming people of all ages and abilities. Thoughtful amenities—including shaded seating, accessible pathways, and drinking water stations—ensure a comfortable and engaging environment for all visitors.
