Seven projects that ASPECT Studios have contributed to have been shortlisted for the 2026 NSW Architecture Awards. The program celebrates leading architectural and interdisciplinary design excellence across New South Wales, Australia.

Of these, three projects recognise ASPECT Studios as part of collaborative submission teams, highlighting the essential role of landscape architecture within integrated design outcomes. These include the New Sydney Fish Market (with 3XN and BVN), shortlisted across the Public Architecture, Commercial Architecture and Urban Design categories; the Sydney Harbour Bridge Northern Access Cycleway (with Collins and Turner, Design 5 Architects and Eckersley O’Callaghan), shortlisted in the Heritage and Urban Design categories; and Surry Hills Village (with SJB and Studio Prineas), recognised in the Urban Design, Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing and Commercial Architecture categories.

Together, the New Sydney Fish Market, Sydney Harbour Bridge Northern Access Cycleway and Surry Hills Village demonstrate how collaborative design can shape civic, cultural and urban environments that are both highly functional and deeply connected to place.

These projects represent a shared commitment to delivering high-quality public realm outcomes, balancing ecological performance, cultural context, accessibility and user experience. Working alongside leading architectural and engineering practices, ASPECT Studios has helped to integrate landscape-led thinking into complex urban, heritage and waterfront settings.

Beyond these recognised collaborations, we also acknowledge our other shortlisted projects. It is rewarding to see these projects, including Willowdale Sports Pavilion, UNSW Health Translation Hub, Waterloo Metro Quarter – Social Housing, and Perry Park Pavilion celebrated within the broader awards program.

We extend our congratulations to all shortlisted teams and projects across every category. The depth and diversity of work represented this year speaks to the strength of design practice across the state.

We also wish the very best of luck to all submitters, including those where our contribution is not reflected in the credits - we are proud to have played a part in shaping these outcomes.
