What if the entire city was a playground? What if our cities were a little more cheeky? Those are among the questions posed by ART/PLAY/RISK, a two-day symposium that will explore the need for play beyond playgrounds in our increasingly high-density cities.
We’re thrilled that our Sydney Studio Director Louise Pearson is taking part, with a talk that will reveal the intricacies of site-specific work, dip into the (sometimes kooky) processes that lead to a finished playspace design and highlight a few of the unsung delights that shape the way people engage with public space.
Comprising keynotes, panel discussions, workshops and site visits, this dynamic interdisciplinary event takes place 30 November and 1 December at the University of Sydney.
