Kate Bowler

Meet our new Associate Kate Bowler, who works out of Aspect Studios in Perth. A registered architect, she made the leap from a large architecture practice to a landscape-focused firm due to a desire to work on projects that prioritise people and planet, and integrate regenerative design into the core of the design process. When she’s not leading projects, you’ll likely spot her riding her bike to the studio or around Perth — she’s a big believer that two wheels are the best way to get around.

Kate sees landscape architects taking a leadership role on more projects as a reflection of the particular strengths of the profession: a more lateral understanding of place, and an insistence on improving conditions for both people and the natural world.

In the future she hopes to create landscape-led proposals for disused, post-industrial sites in Perth.
