Adelaide Park Lands Upgrade

The master plan for Park 27b presents a valuable opportunity to regenerate a part of the Adelaide Park Lands that has been underutilised and partially severed from the rest of the Park Lands. With an eye to the future, the design caters to the future needs of the community in the adjacent Bowden Urban Village development by providing substantial new recreation facilities.

The master plan proposal, prepared as a direct result of consultation with key stakeholders, includes retention and expansion of existing sporting facilities, passive recreation, water play opportunities, community orchards and gardens, a new urban farm, and substantial improvements to the pedestrian and cycle path network.

The first stage of works feature a shared-use path upgrade, new multi-use sports courts, a petanque court, a nature-focused play area, and a skateable youth area. Peppered throughout are new picnic, barbeque and recreation facilities.
