Barangaroo House
The Collins and Turner Architects-designed Barangaroo House is a striking building, composed of curved levels featuring a bounty of edible plants, seasonal vegetables and herbs knitted into the façade.
ASPECT Studios, in collaboration with OCULUS and Junglefy, produced a landscape design that made the greenery pouring out of the building a living, breathing reality.

Located on the waterfront of Sydney’s CBD at Barangaroo South, the design is part of the wider precinct development that reflects a broader trend of blending urban life – creating a place where residents can work, live and play through a collection of quality public and private spaces.
Extensive research, testing and planning was undertaken to ensure plant species were fit for their salty seaside location with irrigation capacity, soil loads and future maintenance all primary concerns. The abundant planting provides the opportunity for the restaurant to grow its own organic produce to be harvested on site, used in the kitchen and enjoyed by diners.
Barangaroo House plays a key role at Barangaroo South as a finely crafted, human-scaled and welcoming building which celebrates the possibilities of integrating nature in our built environment.
