ASPECT INSIGHTS Vic Horticulture Awards 02
The Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Horticulture regional awards celebrate excellence in horticulture with diverse projects, experiences and people acknowledged for their achievements.

We were honoured to receive a Green Space Urban Award for the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal project, an award that recognises projects that use horticulture in their design for the improvement or provision of open green space and human health and well-being.

The project involved the creation of 22 hectares of open space, parklands and new community areas, as well as 17km of pedestrian and cyclist paths.

We are proud to be a part of this project that demonstrates how rail corridors can be transformed from mere conduits for trains into key structural elements of our cities – ultimately providing a landscape that was once unobtainable by the community.

Congratulations to the team and contributors; Cox Architecture, Lendlease, CPB Contractors and Aurecon.
