Our Global Design Director, Kirsten Bauer recently visited Tokyo, Japan to participate in The Landscape Architects as Changemakers project.
This bi-lingual project between Australia and Japan was presented earlier in the year as part of the Melbourne Design Week, with the Tokyo section of the exhibition opening last week.
Requiring collaboration across different countries and organisations, the project examines the approaches used by both Australian and Japanese landscape architects, to create innovate work and to respond to the cultural and ecological specificity of their regions.
Kirsten participated in several successful events as part of the program, including an opening night talk and a panel discussion.
The project was funded by the Australia-Japan Foundation, University of Melbourne, and RMIT University.
