Kate Bowler is an Associate at ASPECT Studios in Perth.
A registered architect, Kate joined ASPECT after working in large-scale architectural practice, drawn to landscape by a desire to focus on projects that place people and the planet at the centre of the design process. She is particularly motivated by the opportunity to embed regenerative design principles from the outset, shaping outcomes that deliver long-term environmental and social value.
Kate welcomes the increasing leadership role landscape architects are taking across complex projects, seeing it as a natural extension of the profession’s strengths: a lateral understanding of place and a commitment to improving conditions for both communities and the natural world.
Outside the studio, Kate is a dedicated cyclist and a firm advocate for two wheels as the best way to navigate Perth. Looking ahead, she is keen to develop landscape-led proposals that reimagine disused, post-industrial sites across the city.
