Union Station’s park vision comes to life

Twenty months after its opening, new photos reveal how the public spaces around the new Union Station, designed with the vision of a ‘station in a park’, are successfully connecting communities. The new landscape strongly links the two sides of the tracks, knitting together the two local shopping precincts and supporting a vibrant village culture.

The project has delivered both value to train and road users, while also delivering public realm value to the local community.

It demonstrates the power of landscape architecture to amplify the existing character of a place and sensitively expand public space.
