New Sydney Fish Market

Public Architecture Award; The Sir Arthur G Stephenson Award for Commercial Architecture; and Premier’s Prize.

We designed the landscape and public realm in collaboration with 3XN, GXN and BVN Architecture, The new Sydney Fish Market is a landmark destination shaped by a waterfront public realm that reconnects the precinct with the harbour.

A sweeping promenade links Glebe and Pyrmont, unlocking over 6,000m² of previously inaccessible public space, forming part of Sydney’s planned 15km continuous harbour walk from Woolloomooloo to Rozelle Bay.

The landscape brings together the promenade, wharf, amphitheatre and market hall, allowing visitors to experience the working harbour while creating new places to gather beside the water.

Planting and water sensitive design extend the landscape’s role beyond amenity. The project includes 87 trees, more than 13,000 plants and 54 species, alongside rainwater capture and reuse, living seawalls and five sea bins that help improve marine habitat.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway Ramp

Heritage Award and Urban Design Award.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway Ramp delivers a long-awaited, accessible bicycle connection across one of Australia’s most iconic places.

Replacing stair-only access with an exceptional place-responsive design, the project completes a missing link in Sydney’s cycling network, while integrating landscape, architecture, Country, heritage and public art together. The paving carries two intertwining eels, reflecting the connection between Gadigal and Cammeraygal land and waters.

Designed in collaboration with Collins and Turner, Eckersley O’Callaghan, Design 5 Architects, Madwings, Yerrabingin, Electrolight, Stantec and client Transport for NSW.

We collaborated with SJB and Studio Prineas on the Surry Hills Village landscape-led urban regeneration project that transforms a former retail box and supermarket into a connected, fine-grain precinct.

The project reconnects Surry Hills and Redfern through a network of laneways, shared spaces and parks, reinstating its historic links. Wunderlich Lane forms a vibrant public spine for retail, hospitality, community activity and everyday social gatherings.

Port Mobilong

Urban Design Award (Commendation)

We partnered with Mulloway Studio, Terroir, and the wider project team on the Sturt Reserve upgrades and Port Mobilong wharf redevelopment.

Together, these projects have transformed the banks of the Murray River as a revitalised destination for the region.

South Australian Sports Institute (SASI)

Commercial Architecture Award

We worked alongside Cox Architecture to deliver the new South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) headquarters at the Mile End sports precinct.

The landscape embeds the building within a native Australian landscape, using native plant species and grounded textural materials. The new facilities sit alongside the SA Athletics Stadium and SA Netball Centre, supporting South Australian athletes within an established sports precinct.

Edith Cowan University (ECU) City Campus

George Temple Poole Award; The Hillson Beasley Award for Educational Architecture; The John Septimus Roe Award for Urban Design; and Interior Architecture Award.

We worked with Lyons, Silver Thomas Hanley and Haworth Tompkins from the project's inception, contributing landscape architecture and public realm across the full city-block campus.

Positioned between Perth CBD, Yagan Square and Northbridge, ECU City brings together, higher education, culture and public life, establishing a new civic destination in the heart of Perth.

The public laneway, garden terraces and outdoor learning environments are woven throughout the campus, creating moments of respite, gathering and discovery that connect students, staff and visitors to the stories of Whadjuk Noongar Country. The landscape design plays a critical role in expressing the site's cultural narrative and connection to place.

The landscape was grounded in Country through a process guided by Whadjuk Noongar Elder Dr Richard Walley OAM.
