2023 AIA National Architecture Awards

Celebrating the best in Australian architecture across the country, the 2023 AIA National Architecture Awards were unveiled recently in Canberra.

It was wonderful to see several projects ASPECT Studios has collaborated on recognised with the highest of honours and we extend our congratulations to everyone who worked on these impressive projects.

Boola Katitjin at Murdoch University

The new academic building Boola Katitjin at Murdoch University in Perth received the top accolade in the Educational Architecture category with The Daryl Jackson Award, as well as a National Award for Sustainable Architecture. Well done to the entire team, including Lyons, Silver Thomas Hanley, Officer Woods, and The Fulcrum Agency.

The University of Melbourne Student Precinct

The University of Melbourne Student Precinct received the highest award in the Urban Design Category – The Walter Burley Griffin Award – alongside a National Award for Educational Architecture and a National Award for Heritage Architecture. We extend our congratulations to our collaborators Lyons with Koning Eizenberg Architecture, NMBW Architecture Studio, Greenaway Architects, Architects EAT, and Glas Urban.

Boola Katitjin at Murdoch University

Inveresk Library, University of Tasmania, was also recognised in the Educational Architecture category receiving a National Award, while Bendigo Law Courts received a National Commendation in the Public Architecture category. ASPECT Studios collaborated on both projects with Wardle and we congratulate them and the wider project teams.
