Katherine English
Studio Director
BRISBANE
Registered Landscape Architect, AILA
Bachelor of the Built Environment: Landscape Architecture (Distinction), QUT
Graduate Diploma of Landscape Architecture (Distinction), QUT

Katherine has recently joined ASPECT Studios in Brisbane, where she leads the practice with fellow Studio Director Deb Robbins. Katherine brings extensive experience locally in Queensland and New South Wales.

Commencing a career in Landscape Architecture at the beginning of her final undergraduate year of study in 2004, Katherine has since completed over 16 years of professional practice in Brisbane.

Katherine values contributing to the industry beyond professional practice, she regularly provides seasonal academic guest lectures at QUT, participates in student critique sessions, and chairs in AILA registration candidate panels.

Passionate about undertaking the design process as part of a team, Katherine is a natural leader and mentor, continually learning from her peers simultaneously. Her portfolio demonstrates an array of project types, predominately concentrating on urban renewal, tourism and the delivery of education, public space and shared residential landscapes.

Katherine believes that landscape architecture is about respecting legacies of the past and providing platforms for stories of the future and that a successful landscape supports a life lived outdoors and should contribute to the systems and forms within its surroundings.
