It’s not everyday a new book on landscape architecture is published, so it’s a great honour to announce a new book dedicated to ASPECT Studios’ Collective Works is soon to be released. ASPECT Studios Collective Works showcases ASPECT’s award-winning projects, such as The Goods Line, Darling Quarter, Victorian Desalination Plant and Victoria Harbour, as well as many other project highlights realised by ASPECT Studios throughout Australia, China and New Zealand. Published by Phoenix Publishing Limited, ASPECT Studios Collective Works not only offers a detailed insight into the professional and creative culture of our multi-disciplinary design firm, but also features a wide range of projects dating back to the National Emergency Services Memorial in 2004. Each project is discussed in English and Mandarin and accompanied by photographs, plans and project specifications that in concert provide a comprehensive record of the achievements of ASPECT Studios since its inception in 1993. ASPECT Studios Collective Works also offers two insightful forewords by Dr. Jillian Walliss, Graduate Program Coordinator for Master of Landscape Architecture at Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne, and Robert Schäfer, former Editor-in-chief of Garten + Landschaft, and founder of Topos – The International Review of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. These forewords discuss how the landscape architecture industry in Australia has developed to the point that ASPECT Studios’ work is now internationally recognised as some of the most innovative in the world. ASPECT Studios looks forward to unveiling this wonderful publication in the very near future, so please stay tuned.
